FOTD: 60's Hippie!

Hi all! I hope you had a great weekend! I went to my boyfriend’s family reunion this past Saturday and it was so much fun! They do a themed reunion every year and this year it was decades. I decided to be a hippie from the 60’s, and my boyfriend went as his Dad in the 80’s. After seeing photos, his costume was dead on! He even wore his Dad’s shirt from the 80’s. So I figured I could do a face of the day with the look I wore for this party. I didn’t wear too much makeup because it was sooooooo hot outside and obviously hippie’s don’t really get all glammed up. Here’s what I did use:

Face:
*Since it was hot (I’m talking 100 degrees people!) I didn’t really want to wear any face makeup. However, I wanted to even out a few spots on my chin.
L'Oreal True Match Concealer W4-5
Cargo Blu-Ray HD Powder in #30 (CLICK HERE to read my rave review on it!)
Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray
& of course sunscreen!!

Eyes:
Urban Decay Eden Primer Potion
MAC Rubenseqe Paint Pot
Urban Decay 24/7 Pencil in Jet
CoverGirl Lash Blast & Neutrogena Healthy Length (layered to give “false lashes” look!)
Per-Fekt Brow Perfection Gel in Caramel (CLICK HERE to read my review on it)

Have you ever gone to a theme party? How did you do your makeup for it?

Thanks for reading,
Carly

  11. oh my gosh, you are SO stinkin' cute! the 60's was a great decade to choose.
i'm obsessed with the 1920's, and if it wasn't so expensive to find a flapper-esque dress, i would totally dress up as one! (who knows? maybe i'd be able to find something good at goodwill?)
at the same time, i always love dressing up 80s-esque :)
ahhh totally love your blog, by the way! i've subscribed! oooohhhhh yeaaaahhh

    1. Aww thank you! You know what's funny? I actually thought about going as a flapper!! I went as one a few halloween agos...I should try to find a photo. I wore a black sequins dress...anything like that will work, especially if you will be wearing a boa! :)

    1. Thanks! It was so fun! It was almost like Halloween in July haha. I was thinking of about doing more "decades" posts in the near future. Maybe we could even do a joint blog posting where we both do a look!?
